This is very interesting…

I think we should be looking at data which is more representative of the earths history – not an isolated, short period of geological history which we assume to be indicitive of things to come. People don’t realise that, as a species, we have in fact occupied a place on this planet for a relatively very short space of time, so although we now have a very large affect on the planet environmentally, I think we need to temper our predictions with data that represents larger fluctuations in the geological record… looking at the whole picture, not incomplete parts of it…
