New law on foreign passports

by oneafrikan on March 3, 2005

Just in case you’re living abroad like I am:

South African citizens with dual nationality will be fined or imprisoned if they use their second passport to enter or leave the country. The National Council of Provinces approved the Citizenship Amendment Bill on 18 August, making it illegal for citizens to use foreign passports to avoid duties upon entering or leaving South Africa.
