Washington – Bill Gates told Warren Buffett about blogging on Thursday.
Buffett, the legendary investor and moving force behind Berkshire Hathaway, was in attendance at the eighth annual CEO summit put on by Microsoft in Redmond, Washington.
Also on hand were Barry Diller of InteractiveCorp, Carly Fiorina of Hewlett-Packard, Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com and Dell Inclusion’s own Michael Dell.
They all heard Gates describe blogs and RSS feeds as tools that “make it very easy to communicate” with customers, suppliers and employees.
This is pretty cool – when someone like Bill Gates says something, people generally listen. And in this case, he’s publicly endorsing blogging (and effectively RSS as well) to a bunch of people which wield enormous power, responsibility, and credibility in their own right.
So, where to now? Business as usual?, or innovation then acquisition by big hairy giants?
