As far as I know, we haven't actually begun to look at the African (or even South African) market yet. We've got excellent penetration in Australia at Federal, State and Local government levels. The UK is currently more focussed on corporate clients.

One of the great things with v3.6 (the latest stable) is that we can now translate our entire Administration Interface as well, and maintain multiple language sets for that Interface. This means that a single installation can support users in all 11 official languages (assuming translation occurs!).

Thanks Avi - that's awesome. I've been speaking to some people in the Western Cape regards their open source needs and I'm going to see if I can at least get them to have a look at it as a CMS option.

How far or widely has it been implemented globally? - I saw on the site that there is a UK office - how are you guys finding the market here? Just busy getting my laptop set up, so will mail when I have a mail client again...

As an ex-pat South African now working for Squiz (the developers of MySource Matrix), I'm glad you discovered us. I'm based in Canberra and have been in charge of the Australian Federal Government implementations of Matrix thus far. I'm also doing the local ACT Government stuff as well as doing consulting on some NSW and Tasmanian deployments.

Feel free to drop me a line if you want to discuss the product in depth, or if you have any specific questions. Personally, I'd love to see Matrix being deployed in South Africa. :)
