VC funding. It’s something that you read about almost daily on someone’s site. Every new venture seems to be getting money pumped into it and you can only imagine how much easier that makes their lives right? Well that’s what I thought until it happened to us.

A great exchange on the pitfalls of venture funding – my take is that if you can fund your startup without outside funding, however you can, then that’s first prize. If you can continue to grow like that organically until you reach breakeven, then even better.

But, I agree that 75% (probably more like 65%) of £1 million is better than 100% of nothing. if you’re in business to make cash, then I reckon this is the way to go. If you’re doing it for a lifestyle, then carry on! ;-)
