Zimbabwe crisis on ITV

by oneafrikan on December 23, 2005

I’m busy watching a news feature of how the Zimbabwean police are going on to farms in Zim, and just taking what they want without asking or paying, then selling it or auctioing it of for money. What angers me is that the ITV presenter made it sound like this never happened until “this first official proof was received by ITV”. I know there’s nothing I can do, but I’m just angry.

How do you feel about it?

As a Zimbabwean born southern African. It makes me mad.

Yet let me spell out the picture of Cape Town – or in fact South Africa in Dec/Jan

* No Petrol (National)
* Power failures (Local and National, with more predicted)
* Corruption that makes Idi Amin proud

Naturally all of the above filtered through to neighbouring countries, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique – suffering petrol and power knock on effects….

Yip I’m mad. Even SA, smells like Zimbabwe…
