Mobile blogging in Africa?

by oneafrikan on January 18, 2007

From an email recently:

I was wondering if you know of anyone in SA who does mobile blogging?

I can’t think of anyone offhand, but you may know of someone who does – if you do, please leave a comment here or email me – will put you in touch with the emailer ;-)

What is mobile blogging? is is bloggin using a mobile device (phone/pda)? If so, then I have been testing out, SonyEriccson’s K800 blog-this feature with the photographs, that links back to Blogger,,,

I am still to learn how to change it from Blogger to any other system.

but hey,,, thought I’d ask.

Thanks Lebogang! ;-)

Yea, I reckon that’s it. Pity it links back to blogger – you should be able to input your own blogging url by default!…

Hi Gareth,

interesting you mention this, considering the incredibly high use of internet access via mobile in SA and Africa when compared to Western Europe and the US, mobile blogging, or moblogging, is clearly a perfect marriage. We’re talking to a group in South Africa about regionalising our service. Once I can talk more about that, I’ll let you know, but in the meantime do get in touch if you’d like to talk moblogging.
