The blogosphere is over 100 times bigger than it was just 3 years ago.

David Siry releases the latest state of the blogosphere, which has some ineresting facts and figures

No point in going through them here as Dave goes through them in some detail, suffice it to say that all those who doubted my predicitons a year or two ago should eat their hats, now!

I’m really happy about this, because it shows that human communication is changing in a real way, but also wonder when the trend will start slowing down - my hunch is that there is still a long way to go since most of the world still have no idea what blogging is, or at least some notion that includes MySpace or a visit to a blog at some stage - but surely enough don’t know about it for future growth…

“Surely some of these new blogs in Technorati’s index are Spam blogs or ’splogs’.” I guess 80% of all blogs made last year are spam blogs :/

  2. 2 Gareth Knight
