I've experienced it all through my high-school career while trying to make the provincial hockey teams. And the stories that I've heard from top provincial coaches after I left school about the state of "transformation" and selection based on colour are scary. The one thing I cannot understand is why hockey? Why is hockey such a focal point of over-the-top transformation rules etc? Yes rugby and cricket have it too, but not to this extent...
